I bought this to add to our fall collection of books. I had never heard of this author or this book so I was taking a chance when I made the purchase. Once it arrived, I read it one night and my 2 year old little boy won't let us put it down. We now read it multiple times a day!! It's such a cute little story with fun illustrations. Great purchase!

Gift for grandson. Love Tasha Tudor.
Cute, short, simple and classic. A wonderful taste of an era that is much missed.
My 2-year-old loves Halloween. We bought her this book in October to help get her in the mood, and she loves it! The story is very sweet and set in a much simpler time. I love how it took the reader full circle, so children can see where pumpkins come from and how they get to our porch in the form of a "pumpkin moonshine" - with a silly story in the middle about the runaway pumpkin. The illustrations are beautiful. This is our first Tasha Tudor book, but definitely not our last.
"Pumpkin Moonshine" is one of four Tudor books packaged together. Sadly the other three are out of print. I received the boxed set for my sixth birthday (1948), read them to my own children and now read them to my grandchildren. This one is the perfect Hallowe'en story with enchanting illustrations!
Such a lovely little book, and her illisttation’s never fail to charm. My girls love this addition to our Autumn-inspired reading basket!
we purchased the board book b/c those are much sturdier; however I think some of the charm of the artwork was lost in translation. I would recommend a traditional hardback copy for that reason but that does not detract from the content of the story. Very cute!
