I just detest cliffhanger and resent that it isn't posted as such. Another short story being stretched into a series.....Thank God this was a free book This seems to be a common practice of many authors today unfortunately.

A Night to Forget A Night to Forget Series #1 Emma Story edition by Jessica Wood Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I have to say that I bought this book so I could enter her giveaway for a signed copy it sounds like a good story and I have to say I'm glad I did I loved it for a while I want to slap Emma I mean how could she not say anything to Brandon about Cancun and act like they never met while she has thought about him everyday since she left Cancun and he never called then to work with him and have him act like he didn't remember her and she still wants him with all her heart I hater that about her but when they stared to date and we find out what really happened I was lime WTF I did not see that coming and I loved that about this book I usually know how the story will go but with this on it blew me away I thought I knew why Brandon did not remember that night I was way off,I love when a book makes me ask what just happened I like a little twist. Now how it ended I HATE why would you do that to us ?????? Not nice I really can't wait to read the next book I so glad it won't be to long around the end of August that is going to be my birthday gift to myself. I have to say to you Jessica you did a wonderful job with this story especially being your first it was great. Thank you
I read this book straight through. I found it intriguing, to say the least. It started out pretty sexy and then toned way down so you grew to love the characters even more. The romance was subtle and then deepened, yet it stayed in the realm of what I would describe as soft and tender. I could see this love story as it unfolded. Brian was a likable guy to the point he seemed almost too good to be true, hence I smiled at the "cliffhanger" ending. I love the fact that the author ended the story at the exact spot she did. Was what seemed too good to be true really too good to be true? Now I am desperately curious and that is what makes a reader want to keep reading. It also makes me want to get the next book. I feel like I know Emma from this story, but after seeing the intro to the next book, I can't help wondering what her dark secret is.
Hot vivid dreams, that was Emma’s life. Everynight for months all she had were dreams about a man she never met. She never understood why. At times she would go to bed early, just so she can dream about him again. It’s not that she was lonely, she had a wonderful boyfriend she has been for a little over a year. A boyfriend who loved and respected her for her choice of waiting to have sex. No matter how much she loved him, she never felt right giving him her virginity. Then that one night came, when her boyfriend Mike acted a little different and distant…she didn’t understand why. Then he acted out his frustration on her, on why she wasn’t sleeping with him and asked her if she ever will. When she admitted to him how that she does love him, but she’s not sure. She didn’t feel like it was the right time. After her confession he lashed out at her and left her. Instead of being heartbroken, she surprisingly wasn’t.

The trip to Cancun couldn’t come at the right time. She had a wonderful week with her friends, he had lots of fun. At the same time she was hoping to meet her handsome stranger. After a few days she actually saw him from a distance in the flesh, but lost him in the crowd. Then on her last night it happened, she got a chance and finally met him. They hit it off and she got to spend a night with the wonderful man she had been dreaming of. Then she never saw him again.

Six months later, she starts her new job in San Francisco and saw a very unexpected person. It was Brandon, as handsome as she remembered him. Neither one acknowledge that they ever knew each other.

Will they get their second chance together? Or will they keep pretending that night never happened?

This was a quick, enjoyable read and I enjoyed how protected Brandon was of Emma. They always had the connection, even when they didn’t want to admit it at first. Brandon was sweet and intelligent and he was just the man Emma needed. As this is the first book in the series, it is left with a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to sink my teeth into the 2nd book.
Actually I did like the book until the last page where there was NO ENDING. No where did I find this book to be listed a cliffhanger. The book stopped right in the middle of a devastating scene. Now if I want to read the conclusion I must buy another book. It isn't even Unlimited. The author should find another editor also fluent in the English language (if you speak English). (spelling and misuse of words) I'm debating whether I'll spend the money to buy the next book. I totally dislike cliffhangers and especially when the author does not advise you in advance. You would think authors would get the "hint" that cliffhangers spoil the reading and the review rating.
I hate it when a book stops mid story. It's not like a stand alone continuation where each book can stand on its' own, this one literally stopped in the middle of the story.
I just detest cliffhanger and resent that it isn't posted as such. Another short story being stretched into a series.....Thank God this was a free book This seems to be a common practice of many authors today unfortunately.
